On a plot just 13 feet wide, the firm RUA 141 has constructed Casa MA—a home that transforms extreme constraint into a masterclass of spatial liberation.Nestled near Ibirapuera Park, this narrow dwelling challenges the megacity's spatial logic, proving that profound living experiences are born from intelligent design, not sheer square footage. Faced with the question of how to cultivate spaciousness and light within a tight urban corridor, the architects launched a vertical exploration.Their solution is a multi-level composition of raw concrete, steel, and brick, warmed by the strategic interplay of light and nature. Light is harnessed as a primary material, drawn deep into the core through skylights and internal courtyards, ensuring no space feels dark or confined.Integrated gardens act as vital, breathing organs at various levels, providing pockets of nature, humidity, and moments of serene pause.
